Reflexivity in research teams through narrative practice and textile-making

This article discusses narrative practice and textile-making as two techniques of researcher reflexivity in diverse teams conducting qualitative-interpretive research. Specifically, it suggests definitional ceremonies—a collective structured method storytelling group resonances—as a useful tool to interweave researchers team, while maintaining the plurivocity that enables deeper reflexivity. Additionally, is introduced material embodied way expression, which complements where words fail or need non-linguistic form elicitation. We illustrate with examples from our international, collaborative research project demobilized guerrilla fighters Colombia.
